Help Australian Marine Life with WWF

WWF charity officials are asking for your help to send a message to the Australian government in regards to their proposed Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) in and around the countries oceans. With the plans now in their final stages, a few key issues need to be raised to ensure that more is done to protect the whales, fish, turtles and other animals that use these habitats to feed and breed.

With the boundaries and management plans already in place, WWF is asking for your help to add your voice to in calling for certain improvements to help create a healthier marine environment for the long term. These include –

  • Oil and gas industry exclusion zones
  • Marine National Park areas established
  • Gillnetting excluded within 50 miles of sea lion colonies
  • Increase protection and exclude seabed mining

This is the last chance we have to add out voices to those of the WWF to let the Australian government know that the world supports their call for the protection of the countries unique marine environment. It only takes 30 seconds and will go a long way to securing the long term future of one of the world’s most amazing coatlines
